On May 13th, 1905, Mr. David Imrie, a veterinary surgeon from Glasgow, purchased the house ‘Nithsdale’ at 1 Brackenbrae Road, Bishopbriggs, starting the longstanding connection between the address and veterinary care in the area.
Over the years, the practice expanded significantly - from Imrie’s early days traveling by pony and trap treating horses and farm animals, through post-WWII growth and advances in veterinary science, to the 1960s-90s era when the practice became Ross and Bickerton and later Bishopbriggs Vet Centre, broadening services to companion animals as the community grew.
